The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips for Wednesday's French fare
Trained by Pascal Bary, Wanaway put in three mediocre runs to kickstart her career before showing dramatic improvement for the fitting of a first-time visor when dropped into claiming company at Maisons-Laffitte in September. She fairly ran away with that contest before finishing fourth in the Group 3 Prix Miesque over 7f at that track just a month later. Another fourth-placed finish in a 5½f Listed contest here followed before she defied a 122-day absence to win impressively over the same course and distance in March. The extra half a furlong will suit today, she should be pretty fit and the booking of Maxime Guyon is a plus.
Crew Dragon(12.30 Chantilly)
Having tasted defeat on his first two starts, everything seemed to click into place over this 6f trip for Crew Dragon in November, where he fended off a well-bred rival to win by three-quarters of a length. Proven on heavy ground, Crew Dragon looks a three-year-old on the up and may represent some value in what looks a wide-open contest.
