The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday
Typhoon Ten(6.15 Wolverhampton)
Relatively unexposed three-year-old who didn't hit the heights his pedigree would suggest was possible over five furlongs, but readily accounted for nine rivals on just his second attempt over seven last time out. He seemed to relish the extra distance, flying down the outside from the rear of the field to record a stylish success under James Doyle off a mark of 83. He's up 6lb today but Luke Catton's claim means he actually runs off 1lb lower and although he faces a couple of improvers, he should go close to backing up his last-time-out success.
Qaaraat (7.15 Wolverhampton)
One of two runners for trainer Antony Brittain, Qaaraat, an ex-Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned son of Acclamation who was picked up for 28,000gns last year by current connections, looks to have a great chance of recording his third career victory against some out-of-form rivals. Qaaraat has a poor strike-rate himself (2-36), buthe has fallen down the handicap as a result from a mark of 73 in May to just 58 now and took advantage at Newcastle two starts back (off 56). He was unlucky to bump into an in-form sort at this course last time but ran well to take second and has to be feared off the same mark if able to work across from his outside draw.
