Sweetspots: Toby can defy absence to land repeat Hereford win
The father and son partnership of Gary and Joshua Moore have a 23 per cent strike-rate at Plumpton. Good Man Hughie (2.25) wears first-time blinkers on his handicap chase debut, which may see him turn in an improved performance.
Tom Lacey boasts a 29 per cent strike-rate with first time handicap runners. Snapdragon Fire (2.40) has shown potential and may be ready to strike on his handicap debut at Hereford.
Philip Hobbs is 19-113 with bumper newcomers (17 per cent strike-rate). Arthur Mac (4.10) may prove worthy of support on his debut at Hereford with Richard Johnson on board.
Toby Lerone (4.40) won Hereford’s hunter chase last year. Dan Skelton’s 11-year-old overcame a 248-day absence on that occasion so the 299-day absence isn’t a great concern in his repeat bid.
