Sweetspots: Musical Terms can hit all the right notes at Ripon
Aleef looks interesting returning after an absence of 280 days. He’s won on his seasonal reappearance before and this lightly raced four-year-old can prove much better than his mark in the 3.15 at Epsom.
William Haggas operates at an impressive 28 per cent strike-rate with first-time geldings and sends Musical Terms to Ripon for the 5.05. He has a great record at the track and his runner can leave previous disappointments behind.
Innocent Touch runs in the 4.55 at Epsom, a race he won last year off the same mark of 90. He went close at the track three starts ago when second off 92 and can go well.
Robert Cowell and Luke Morris have a 67 per cent strike-rate when teaming up at Southwell. Golden Easter (1.30) has a good chance if first-time cheekpieces spark an improvement.
