Sweetspots: Hanagan and Haggas to strike with Regina Nostra
Ben Pauling boasts a 36 per cent strike-rate with his runners in the past two weeks. He saddles nine runners today, the pick of those is Equus Secretus (2.15) at Huntingdon. The course-and-distance winner can bounce back from a disappointing run at Cheltenham last time.
This is a good time of year for Harry Fry, who has a 22 per cent strike-rate with his runners two weeks either side of today’s date for the past five seasons. He has two runners at Huntingdon and the pick of those is Zipple Back (2.50), who is having his first run since wind surgery.
It’s worth taking note when Paul Hanagan rides for William Haggas at Newcastle. They have a 67 per cent strike-rate when teaming up at the course and do so again with Regina Nostra (5.30), who would have learned a lot from her first run just 8 days ago.
