Sweetspots: Cumani to boost Beverley record with Manangatang
Luca Cumani has had three winners from five runners at Beverley. Manangatang (4.00) makes his handicap debut for the trainer (26%, +£21.27 to a £1 level stake with handicap debutants).
William Buick is two from two on Normandy Barriere and rides him in the 1.50 at Newmarket. The five-year-old has gone well fresh in the past and looks set for a good run.
Paul Cole has had two winners from his last five runners. He teams up twice with Jim Crowley at Newmarket, where the partnership has a 60 per cent strike-rate. Berkshire (3.00) looks the best bet. He is two from two at the track and could outrun his odds.
Dan Skelton has a 35 per cent strike-rate with new recruits from other yards. Blairs Cove runs in the 2.05 at Cheltenham and has some smart bumper form to his name in Ireland. Interestingly he is pitched into a Class 2 on his first start over hurdles.
