Spoof could be latest juvenile to run well

Newbury: Flat racing returns to track on Friday
1 of 1

We've already got one two-year-old winner on the board thanks to Rock Of Estonia's success at Windsor and I'm keen to see how Spoof gets on in the Dreweatts Newcomers' EBF Stallions Maiden Stakes (2.00) at Newbury on Friday.

He's by Poet's Voice out of a Motivator mare, but he looks very much like a two-year-old; he’s a strong colt who has pleased in his work.

We don't know what we’re taking on and this is normally hot enough, but I'm sure he’ll run a nice race.

Nafaayes is likely to join him at Newbury in the Bathwick Tyres Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (3.40).

She's going to stay well and will probably get 1m4f with racing. She just took a while to mature last season, which is why she didn't run her.

I've got three unraced individuals in the Coln Valley Stud Bridget Maiden Fillies’ Stakes and I want to run them just to get them out on the track, especially as Newbury is only down the road.

Mulhimatty goes in division one, has a nice action and shows a bit of speed, while Dr Goodhead, who is ready to run in division two.

I’m also keen to get Aware going and that could come in Bath's Springtime Maiden Stakes (7.30) on Friday evening.

He was very green on his only start of 2016 at Lingfield, so I don't think you can read too much into that and he's got a bit of speed.

I'd quite like to run him if we can and the form of his Sandown win last season is good
