Vibrato Valtat 2.25
Although a grand horse on his day, he continues to pay the price for his superb novice chase season and is finding it difficult to get his head back in front.

San Benedeto 3.00
He has been brilliant all season and, as a Grade 1 winner himself now, fully deserves a crack at this. He faces a small field which also contains Racing Post Arkle hero Altior and Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Special Tiara. San Benedeto comes here at the end of a busy season but he enjoys his racing and relishes the trip.

Benbens 3.35
Southfield Theatre isn't quite right, so I'm riding Benbens for my dad Nige in the feature race. He ran an absolute stormer to finish third to Vicente in the Scottish Grand National last Saturday and we're bringing him out again quick.

Dad showed what he could do in similar circumstances with Cogry, who finished a gallant runner-up at Ayr just six days after running at Ffos Las, and Benbens should find Sandown right up his street.

The New One 4.10
He is usually on his summer holiday by now, but remains in such good form that we've decided to have a go at the bet365 Select Hurdle. It's a Grade 2 and looks a good opportunity for him, being over 2m6f on a right-handed track. He ought to prove tough to beat.

Romain De Senam 4.45
Romain De Senam is back out quickly after his honourable second at Ayr last Saturday. A fast-run bet365 Josh Gifford Novices' Handicap Chase will suit him.

Black Corton 5.20
My final ride of the season is Black Corton. Now rated 140, he will need a career-best performance to defy that mark, but is going the right way.
