1.15: Forrard Away
There was plenty to like about Forrard Away (nap)'s chase debut in May and he can maintain his unbeaten record over fences if he finds any improvement. Brawler had been consistent prior to a fall when last seen and he seems to go well fresh. It was an encouraging chase debut from Highstreet Roller last month and race fitness should be a benefit for her.
Evan Williams' Peterborough (nap) has some fairly useful chasing form and showed enough at Plumpton last month to suggest he can exploit his lower hurdle mark soon. He drops down from 0-130 grade here and gets the nod. Not many of the others make appeal but the two mares, Yauthym and Miss M, have both become well handicapped, while Dream Machine also has possibilities.
The lightly raced seven-year-oldRafferty (nap) won in fine style on last month's first run for Laura Morgan and is taken to defy a 10lb rise. Begoodtoyourself was second to the selection last time and could pose more of a threat this afternoon, but the chief danger may be Dreamsundermyfeet who has made a solid start to his chasing career.
All the stronger for his summer break, Siroco Jo (nap) did it nicely off the very same mark last week at Newbury and he should be fine on this softer ground. Albert Van Ornum appeals as a likely improver now he is sent into handicaps by his in-form trainer and he's second choice, ahead of Bashful Boy and Cheng Gong.
6.00: Ey Up Its The Boss
Having found only the highly progressive Pocket The Profit too strong in three nursery starts, Brazen Akoya is the obvious starting point, upped a fair 3lb for her latest all-the-way course-and-distance win. However, the less exposedEy Up Its The Boss (nap)showed much more back from a break at Redcar, when he had to do plenty early to get over to the far rail from stall 18, and he's preferred.
