BANKER

Cosmic Law(2.15 Carlisle)

Freshman sire No Nay Never is expected to have a huge season with his progeny and Richard Fahey's colt Cosmic Law can add another victory to his tally. Owned by John Dance, the same owner as Qipco 1,000 Guineas second Laurens, Cosmic Law ran extremely encouragingly on debut when fifth of seven at Doncaster. He can be marked up for that effort, too, given he broke slowly, had to race last of the field and found significant trouble in running as he tried to make his move. He stayed on well under hands and heels close to home and, with a nice draw in stall five, he can make amends here.

GOOD THING

The Tin Man (7.45 Windsor)

James Fanshawe's dual Group 1-winning sprinter The Tin Man boasts a clear class edge over his rivals in the Listed contest and should make a winning reappearance on ground he loves. He has won fresh twice in the past, which suggests he should be ready to go first time out, and he looks certain to get the race run to suit with the front-running Gifted Master in the field. He would be an interesting runner off level weights but he has to give 3lb to The Tin Man, which is a tough order.
