>>Lady Aurelia was matched at 1.12 in running on Betfair before being caught on the line by the fast-finishing Marsha in the Coolmore Nunthorpe at York.

Despite Frankie Dettori's immediate celebrations aboard the heavily backed 10-11 favourite (from a best-priced 13-8 in the morning), it was Marsha who was quickly long odds-on in the photo betting and it was no surprise to in-running players when she got the verdict. She traded at no bigger than 18 on her way to an 8-1 success.

>>Dartmouth was another to let down short-priced backers when he was caught in the last stride by Montaly in the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup.
