Lingfield Placepot picks: Tom Collins provides his perm selections

A 1m2f Class 6 handicap (1.00) is far from the easiest starting point for a Placepot, especially when the 12 runners are winless this year.

Nevertheless, two towards the bottom of the weights stand out. Doonbeg Farmer, who finished second over 1m1f at this track last time, has to be included. While first-time cheekpieces could bring about further improvement from seven-race maiden Roby Mill.

The best horse on the card is likely Yesyes, a daughter of Camelot who beat strong opposition on her debut at Haydock. It's hard to envisage her finishing out of the places in the 1m3½f novice (1.35).

Back-to-back bankers are advised as Van Meegeren stands out in the 2m4f handicap (2.10). Although he has to prove his stamina at this trip, his exploits over hurdles suggest getting home won't be an issue and his recent victory is the standout piece of form in the race.

She's The Danger, who finished a good third on her debut, and newcomer Pearl Glory are selected in the 6f fillies' novice (2.45), while I'm banking on Silver Nemo in the penultimate contest (3.20).

I want to oppose Flip Mode in the 5f handicap (3.55) given his busy schedule. Instead, Album, who is dropping down in class, and the well-handicapped Jack Ryan are worth including.
