Windsor Placepot picks: Tom Collins provides his perm for the bank holiday card

A tricky sprint handicap (1.21) for apprentice riders kicks off Windsor's bank holiday Monday card and it may prove wise to stick with course-and-distance winners Stake Acclaim and Wiley Post. The last-named particularly stands out after being bumped at the start last time.

Another runner proven at the track and trip is Hot Scoop, who is taken to hit the frame in the Class 5 6f handicap (1.56) after a promising reappearance. Double up with the unexposed Ask The Wind, who appears well handicapped off a mark of 67.

In-form Capote's Dream looks banker material in leg three (2.31), while the classy King Carney and bottomweight River Dawn are chosen in the featured 0-95 handicap (3.06).

Likely favourite Sevenal could prove vulnerable in division one of the novice event (3.41). I much prefer Thunder Sun, who beat a good field at Kempton last time.

Greatgadian, who makes his first start since a wind op and has to give 7lb to his rivals, is another three-year-old worth taking on with the mile trip on the short side in division two (4.16). Bringsty, an eyecatching runner-up on his debut, and Derby entry Imperial Sun are preferred.
