Tom Collins analyses the credentials of five favourites at Gulfstream Park

Big Boss Lady
5.45 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 9-5

Six-race maiden who has a consistent profile if you put a line through her sixth of seven on her penultimate outing, which was run on the wet main track having originally been scheduled for turf. Much better back on the grass last time but rain is forecast here and race could be moved to the dirt again.

Conclusion Wait to see if the race is on turf or not but high chance of rain. Lay.

Ma Meatloaf
6.15 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 6-5

Consistent filly from the Todd Pletcher barn, which doesn't have many runners in this lowly grade. Ma Meatloaf has had most of her starts at New York venues, so this represents a drop in class on her comeback from two months off. Good form on sloppy surface.

Conclusion Looks the standout in this field and fancied to beat Blue Blue Ice in a forecast.

Prairie Wings
7.15 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 7-5

Well-bred filly who was bought by the powerful Shadwell operation for $800,000 as a yearling. Has shown clear ability on her first two outings and her speed figures are much better than anything her rivals have achieved so far. A mile looks her trip for now and she should be getting off the mark.

Conclusion Banker material.

Ms Meshak
8.49 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 7-5

Smart mare who has recorded all six career victories at this venue, including the black-type Added Elegance Stakes in July last year. Hasn't won since but was tried at Grade 3 level along the way and takes a big drop in class here. Has run well in three starts this campaign.

Conclusion Another favourite that should win.

Elusive Molly
10.55 Gulfstream Park
SP forecast 7-5

Godolphin-bred filly who took five outings to get off the mark but did so in glittering style on the wet main track here in January, scoring by ten and a half lengths. Returned eight days later for a starter optional claimer and was devastating again with another ten-length strike.

Conclusion Really hard to take on given the ease her last two victories.
