The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

EACH-WAY PLAY

(2.25 Sandown)

She doesn't boast an unexposed profile like Natural History and Langer Dan, but Malaya has clearly been laid out for this prize and ran an eyecatching race at Ascot when last seen three weeks ago. Malaya, who won the Imperial Cup in 2019 and was being primed to retain her crown last year before the pandemic caused a halt to racing, has dropped down the handicap to 2lb below her last winning mark and travelled beautifully before taking a blow two-out last time. A more aggressive ride is anticipated with Bryony Frost in the saddle and she gets her ideal conditions.

GOOD THING

(12.55 Wolverhampton)

This strong-travelling five-year-old is far from an easy ride, so the booking of Luke Morris, who is 5-11 on Toro Dorado, could make all the difference. Facing inferior opposition off a mark of 80, Toro Dorado is expected to build on his most recent third at Lingfield in a race that wasn't run to suit. He still loomed up as the most likely winner and was only beaten three-quarters-of-a-length by a couple of well-handicapped types. Compensation awaits.
