Homebred daughter by champion miler Toronado out of an unraced Sea The Stars mare, Zwelela is bred for a stiffer stamina test than 6f but showed a load of promise on debut over this trip when outpointed in the final stride at Newbury last August. Put a line through her second start when soft ground didn't suit and she has leading claims in this contest, especially given she receives 12lb from her chief market rival.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Although he is running from 2lb out of the handicap, the Mark Walford-trained Orkan looks an interesting each-way play at a double-figure price in what appears to be a wide-open edition of the Morebattle Hurdle. The son of Shirocco has been in fine form since this time last year, recording three wins and a second from five starts in that period. His most recent success at Warwick was a huge career-best and providing the quicker conditions don't hold him back, he looks a big player with just 10st on his back.
