The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday afternoon

EYECATCHER

(2.40 York)

Nothing was travelling as well as Onassis with two furlongs to run in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. Unfortunately, the Charlie Fellowes-trained filly blew up on her first run back from a 242-day break and eventually beat just two horses home. You can also mark up her effort as she raced in the centre of the track, which proved to be the slowest ground. The drop back from a mile to 6f could see a jolt of improvement from this strong-travelling four-year-old and although she has to give weight to her younger rivals, her forecast price (8-1) is pretty enticing.

DARK HORSE

(1.50 Newmarket)

Mark Johnson has farmed this 1m2f handicap in recent years, winning six of the last eight editions, and could enhance that record with London Gold Cup runner-up King Frankel. This colt showed plenty of resilience when second to the highly-talented Bay Bridge in that Newbury contest and was unlucky to be beaten a nose after a power-packed finish at Epsom next time. He clearly didn't handle that track well and may have been unfavoured by soft ground at Royal Ascot, though he still performed creditably in fourth. He has a healthy swing in the weights with winner Foxes Tales and can make a bold bid in quicker conditions.
