The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on day two of Cheltenham

BANKER

Bob Olinger(1.20 Cheltenham)

An imposing six-year-old who has won three of his four starts under rules, the sole defeat coming at the hands of last year's Champion Bumper winner Ferny Hollow at Gowran Park in November. It appeared that just a lack of experience cost Bob Olinger that victory and he readily made amends on his next start at Navan when scooting up at prohibitive odds. But it was his six-length romp in the Grade 1 Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle that makes him a standout for this year's Ballymore. He travelled beautifully and produced a number of perfect jumps, including at the last two hurdles when he was asserting his authority. He looks like one of the bankers of the week.

EACH-WAY PLAY

(2.30 Cheltenham)

Drying ground will suit Thomas Darby, who has to carry topweight in the Coral Cup but should relish an end-to-end gallop and the fact that he's now facing inferior opposition. Runner-up to Klassical Dream in the 2019 Supreme, Thomas Darby has been lightly raced since and hasn't quite hit the heights many expected. However, he has rarely been disgraced and he certainly hinted that a big run was around the corner when third at Aintree two starts back (led last, faded). Thomas Darby travelled best in the Relkeel Hurdle last time, only to be overhauled by McFabulous and On The Blind Side, and now gets first-time cheekpieces fitted. I can't see him finishing outside the places.
