The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' horse racing tip at Catterick on Thursday

EYECATCHER

Bill Baxter (3.10 Catterick)

Connections of Bill Baxter would have probably expected their six-year-old to be rated higher than 119 after three hurdle outings considering the promise he showed in bumpers. He ran fourth in a red-hot Newbury Listed race on his second racecourse start behind smart sorts Good Risk At All, I Like To Move It and Gelino Bello but hasn't progressed as expected over hurdles. However, I suspect he is better than he showed at Ayr last time when a beaten 10-11 favourite as his apprentice rider probably went off too quick early on. Gavin Sheehan takes over in the saddle and Bill Baxter is bred to improve for the step up to 3m1½f. He was a good maiden hurdle winner two starts back and is worth backing to prove his opening mark is generous.
