I like supporting low-mileage runners this time of year and Abstinence is taken to score following an 88-day break in the 1m6f Listed race at Bath. The form of her last run where she was only a length behind subsequent Group 2 winner Free Wind at Newmarket last time could not have worked out any better, and the filly didn't have the best trip either. She promises to be suited by the extra two furlongs, and not only is she the second highest-rated filly in the field but she is open to the most improvement with only four starts to her name. I'd have her shorter than the 5-1 betting forecast in a contest where most of the runners have lots to find and are much more exposed.
