All eyes will be on a typically competitive Goffs Thyestes Chase at Gowran on Thursday and there could be some each-way value in supporting the Mouse Morris-trained Foxy Jacks, racing off a feather weight of just 10st. There were certainly positives to take from his run in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown last time when seventh behind School Boy Hours, and he's already proven himself effective in big-field handicaps having landed a valuable event at last season's Punchestown festival. Conditions at Gowran are expected to continue drying in the run-up to Thursday's €100,000 contest, and that should play to the strengths of this 136-rated performer. He may not necessarily have the same unexposed profile as some of the other second-season chasers in the line-up, but odds of around 28-1 in the initial shows would appear too big from an each-way perspective.
