This lightly-raced six-year-old ran his best race when fourth at Southwell last time and the step up to 3m½f could bring a first success. Fitted in cheekpieces for the first time, the Martin Keighley-trained Pinnacle Peak kept on pluckily over 2m4f here last month and the form was boosted in the week with third-placed Black Lightning winning at Market Rasen. A half brother to talented stablemate Back On The Lash, Pinnacle Peak looks to be going the right way and has leading claims on his third start in handicap company.
