The Punt Acca: Mark Boylan's three horse racing tips on Thursday

Entropy (5.05 Killarney)

This Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old has been beaten the last twice, but likely hasn't reached his ceiling yet and should be in the thick of things in this rated race over a mile. He wasn't the only leading fancy who failed to give his true running in the Nasrullah Premier Handicap at Leopardstown two starts ago, but he bounced back with a creditable third at the same venue on his latest outing. He was only beaten three quarters of a length on that occasion - pulling five and three quarters of a length clear of the fourth - and the form has been boosted since by runner-up Safecracker winning the McEnery Cup at Gowran Park on his next start. Entropy could appreciate dropping to a mile, having been campaigned over 1m2f, and is helped by Jake Coen's 5lb claim.

Contarelli Chapel (5.35 Killarney)

Aidan O'Brien has won three of the last four runnings of the Listed Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes and can extend that fine record with this useful filly, who had no luck in running at a key stage last week at Gowran Park. Considering she was short of room, it was probably a very decent effort from the three-year-old to only be beaten a length and three quarters when last seen finishing fifth in the Listed Hurry Harriet Stakes. Others are better treated at the weights here, but expect a bold bid from this beautifully bred half-sister to French Oaks and Nassau Stakes heroine Fancy Blue. Dropping to a mile from 1m1½f could well be in her favour given the speed she showed in her exciting debut win over 6f last season.

Arabian King (7.35 Killarney)

Matthew Smith's horses seem to be in a better place over the last month than had been the case previously, and he could be set to bag another winner with this dual-purpose performer. Arabian King's latest win came at this venue in a 2m4f maiden hurdle in July, and his most recent Leopardstown effort when runner-up to Thursday's rival Rich Belief confirmed his wellbeing. Having been well back off the pace, the winner stole first run on the selection last time that likely made the difference. A 4lb swing in Arabian King's favour could be enough to change the result in different circumstances this time, while the booking of Sam Ewing in this apprentice-only event must be taken as a positive.
