York Placepot tips: Paul Kealy has three bankers on Friday's card
There's not much form to go on for the opening leg of the York (1.45) Placepot and none of it has come on fast ground, but has the best form and Topspeed figure by a long way and should get us through without much fuss.
After that it's much harder, but has been in good form when the ground has been quick this season and should go well again in the next (2.20), while outsider has more than a squeak on his course form from last season.
Adrian Nicholls won the valuable seller (2.55) last year and his Charlie De Rio would have a shout on his early Irish form, although a more likely winner would surely be , who has been in good form lately.
stayed on well over 5f in another valuable seller at Goodwood on Sunday and goes in too.
is quite a strong fancy in the next (3.30), so I'm going to take a chance and bank on her despite the seven runners, while should be hard to keep out of the first two in the next (4.00) after a fine fourth at Epsom on Saturday.
That just leaves the 7f handicap (4.35) in which I think is a worthy favourite with strong claims.
Given the number of runners it makes sense to have some cover, though, and , who shaped well when third on his reappearance last month, gets the vote.
