Luke Morris has a 24 per cent strike-rate when riding for Eric Alston and it is interesting to see him booked on this well-bred three-year-old. Bought for 20,000gns out of Roger Charlton's stable, he has disappointed for his new yard so far but there was promise to be taken from a third-place finish at Wetherby in June. The form is also good for the grade, with the first, second and fifth winning since. Storm Dreamer was unlucky in running too, so may have been closer.

He has been off since July, is gelded and has his first try on the Tapeta. There's enough ability displayed from some of his form and his pedigree – by Oasis Dream and out of a Galileo mare – to suggest he is better than a mark of 55.
