Nap of the day: best horse racing tips from four of the day's meetings
Selections from Hereford, Huntingdon, Leicester and Newcastle
Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Hereford
3.23: Morraman
Presenting Yeats has been in good form over this sort of trip since the summer and could still have more improvement to come but the pick is Morraman (nap), who recorded one of his best pieces of form when fourth off a much higher mark in this contest two years ago and hasn't had the races run to suit when fourth on his latest two outings. Manning Estate is next on the list.
Chris Wilson
Huntingdon
4.15: Achy Breaky Heart
Preference is for Achy Breaky Heart (nap), who finished a clear second behind a major improver over C&D last Tuesday and looks well treated off the same mark here. Course specialist Lord Sparky completed a double at this track in his final run last season and is a big danger if he can pick up where he left off. Maxi Jazz is 4lb out of the weights but he chased home a subsequent winner in a similar race at Market Rasen last time and has claims if he can build on that.
David Moon
Leicester
3.50: Asad
Last year's one-two Tomfre and Persuasion are obvious players, while Motawaajed has a good chance provided he transfers his fast-ground form to this forecast slower surface. It's also very hard to rule out Able Kane. However, Asad (nap) ran a cracking race from the front last time and could take some catching off bottom weight, especially granted slightly softer fractions. Sunset Breeze, who returns to suitable ground in new headgear, is the suggestion for second choice.
Steve Boow
Newcastle
5.30: Miss Paloma
This will take a bit of winning with most of them in form, and Golden Hind and Greengagep look particularly dangerous. However, Miss Paloma (nap) is a well-bred 3yo filly fully entitled to step up on what she showed on her recent handicap debut at Kempton. This longer trip on a stiffer track should be up her street.
