Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Southwell

7.20: Fearless Angel

Spotlight verdict
An interesting event. Harry Three has looked very promising in a couple of Kempton wins and his trainer has done well in the better sprints here since the surface was relaid. Apache Star won well at Wolverhampton on his stable debut and remains capable of better but FEARLESS ANGEL won with plenty to spare back from a break 16 days ago and she may prove better than a handicapper this year.
Paul Smith

Doncaster

3.20: Peejaybee

Spotlight verdict
A big field but solid recent form is thin on the ground. Emphatic Qualm and Pebbly New Moon (second choice) are interesting if ready to do themselves justice after a break, but a safer option is the upwardly mobile PEEJAYBEE who seems likely to be suited by today's longer trip on his handicap debut. Come On Gruff is unexposed and worth considering too.

Exeter

2.30: Musical Slave

Spotlight verdict
Although a competitive handicap, this is nothing compared with some of the tasks that faced MUSICAL SLAVE last season. He returns having undergone a wind operation, has run well after breaks in the past and is temptingly handicapped again. Ede'iffs Elton is feared most despite his near miss at Wincanton coming at the cost of 5lb, while Poker Play also needs shortlisting back over fences.
