Provided the return to 7f isn't a problem Cubanista should go well following his improved effort on handicap debut at Wetherby last time, while recent Wolverhampton winner Little Raven is respected under his penalty if proving as effective on turf. However, the vote goes to EY UP ITS THE BOSS (nap) who only scored by a head at Wetherby last time and is now 4lb higher, but he overcame a wide trip to score that day so the performance was probably even better than it looked.

4.05: Elios D'Or

Richie Valentine has been in career-best form this spring and is not opposed lightly but an interesting alternative is ELIOS D'OR (nap), who was nearly 18 lengths behind Richie Valentine at Fontwell recently but made some encouraging headway from the rear and, with blinkers now refitted, will presumably revert to the much more positive tactics that were used for last summer's two emphatic wins. Romanor also has claims, providing he settles much better than on his latest appearance.

If GATSBY GREY (nap) can transfer all of his ability from the jumps to this sphere, he could be hard to beat and with some rain forecast, testing ground should help bring his stamina in to play. Hallowed Star should be a big player if he comes on for his recent return and A Mhacin can improve up in trip.

Handicap debutante RUM COCKTAIL (nap) is well treated on the pick of her two-year-old form and is open to further improvement this season. Navello, who has slipped to a handy mark, is second choice ahead of High Velocity who may still have more to offer. Most of the others have something to prove on one count or another.

An easy 1m would have been sharp enough for CELESTIAL POINT (nap) back from eight months off on her comeback and she built on that last time in a Brighton handicap that's produced several winners since. The expensive-to-follow Lenny's Spirit finally got it right over course and distance last time and is a danger but, like Copake, he's hard to predict.
