A red-hot finale featuring several unexposed and progressive types. Handicap newcomer Tamar Bridge could be quite a bit better than his opening mark, however, and he is the selection ahead of Pounding Poet, who remains open to further improvement. Midnight River and Carys' Commodity could also be well handicapped.

12.47: Take Your Time

A few have chances but none is more solid than Take Your Time, who could have been hit with more than 6lb for his Ffos Las win. The old boy Dell' Arca has a big run in him and so too the well-treated Beau Bay, while What About Time and Wildfire Warrior are darker ones to consider seriously.

A quality novices' chase. Having won on both his previous visits to this track, classy hurdler Ashdale Bobcan enhance that record and bounce back from his fall at Gowran last time to get off the mark over fences. He holds Diol Ker on that run. Farouk D'Alene is a big danger but lacks a recent run, with the same comment applying to Blue Sari.

1.15: Naturally High

Lingfield winner Naturally High, who has back class on the Flat, is taken to defy a 12lb rise. Second choice is Kamaxos who, like the selection, made a promising handicap debut last time out. City Derby and Triple Trade are worthy of respect, while a few others are also open to improvement.

1.37: Saint Palais

There was a lot to like about the Worcester win of Saint Palais and he surely has more to offer as a lightly raced 4yo so he's selected to take a 7lb hit from the handicapper in his stride. Castle Robin is another low-mileage sort who arrives on the back of a promising display and he's feared most ahead of Sirwilliamwallace.

6.00: King Of The South

It's possible that Nao Da Mais will be able to dictate this to his advantage, as this is a sharper track than Newcastle where he was third to King Of The South, but the latter does not look overburdened with a 3lb rise for what turned out an emphatic win and he can confirm the placings. The fourth Pivoine wasn't necessarily spot on there after a short break but he does need improvement off the same mark. Alfred Boucher is not ruled out back in a handicap but Cardano has two lesser efforts to put behind him.
