Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post'sunbeatable Spotlights team

Nottingham

2.10: Didtheyleaveuoutto

Dereham smacked of an improver when winning so well at Yarmouth but Didtheyleaveuoutto (nap) will be far better served by this trip than the 1m2f over which he ran at Leicester last month. This good hurdler should be getting competitive off this low a mark and Jamie Spencer is a very positive booking.
Alistair Jones

Newbury

4.05: Aussie Rascal

French Conquest ran with promise in a strong maiden here last time and there will be plenty of potential lurking once he learns to settle properly. He's not ruled out, and nor are Sunset, Secret Haunt and one or two others. Aussie Rascal (nap) took a sizeable step forward last time behind a winner who has gone on to better things, and as a son of Australia, this extra yardage looks sure to benefit.
Alistair Jones

Yarmouth

5.30: Hi Ho Silver

Bythebay was held over 6f on his stable debut but the run wasn't without promise and he can contend in this lower grade. Wolflet is another class-dropper who can't be discounted but Hi Ho Silver (nap) made an encouraging return to action here in April and can gain a second course-and-distance success.
Paul Smith

Leopardstown

4.15: Moony Beams

Normal improvement from last month's debut second at this venue should be be enough to see Moony Beams (nap) get his head in front now. Don Julio may prove next best. The Navan race in which he was fourth is working out well.
Alan Sweetman

Uttoxeter

8.10: Coolnacritta

Neil Mechie's unexposed six-year-old Coolnacritta (nap) appeared to have quite a lot left in the tank when gaining a surprise 2m win on his recent handicap debut at Hexham and, if today's longer trip suits, he can overcome his 7lb penalty. Dubheen was behind Alramz when fifth over 2m here last month but Cillin Leonard's useful 7lb claim can enable him to get closer to the target this time. Yesterday's Fontwell winner Outlaw Jack also comes into it.
Chris Wilson

Haydock

8.30: Wink Of An Eye

The Dubawi gelding Wink Of An Eye(nap) failed to build on an eye-catching Goodwood second when only third in the mud here last time and is well worth another chance to get back on the up now. Rain Gauge has his first go on turf and commands plenty of respect given his good recent AW form, with both Rattling Rosie and Moorland Queen considered for place purposes.
