Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Best bets at Leicester, Lingfield, Windsor, Pontefract, Listowel and Gowran

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Leicester

2.00: Surefire

A decent 3yo handicap. Oz Legend represents the form of the always-strong London Gold Cup and that fourth at Newbury can be upgraded after racing close to a strong early pace. Advertising his claims also brings Surefire (nap) into the equation after they finished upsides at Windsor in April, and Ralph Beckett's runner has plenty of scope about him. Thunder Sun is preferred of the remainder.
Alistair Jones

Lingfield

3.15: Be Prepared

Another chance is readily given to Be Prepared (nap), who won in good style in a first-time visor at the end of last month and did well to finish third after fluffing the start at Goodwood on Tuesday. Kingsholm has some potential for improvement this season but we haven't seen him since October and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Strong Power, who is back on his last winning mark.

Pontefract

7.15: Saluti

Paul Midgley has landed the last two runnings of this, and he looks to have another likely sort here in the shape of C&D winner Saluti (nap) who didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages when fourth at Thirsk and can capitalise on a good mark now. Recent Catterick scorer Obee Jo rates next best, while both Yolo Again and the selection's' stablemate Ventura Express promise to be in the shake-up too.
Peter Entwistle

Windsor

7.00: Goldie Hawk

Preference is for Goldie Hawk (nap), who has won three of her five handicaps and ran well again when a clear third behind an improver in a higher grade at Kempton 19 days ago. This well-bred filly still has potential and is a big player back in a Class 4 event on turf. The main threat could come from Mafia Power, who is starting to look well handicapped again and was a creditable third at Bath last Saturday.
David Moon

Listowel

4.05: Samcro

Having shown resolution when winning at Killarney, Samcro (nap) can follow up here, his rider's claim a bonus in a race in which the lightly weighted Abbey Magic could emerge a real threat. Darasso is interesting off the back of a resounding hurdles win at Killarney, where he had Snow Falcon behind.
Alan Hewison

Gowran Park

5.25: Aurora Princess

A shock but stylish 50-1 winner at Leopardstown last week, Aurora Princess (nap) makes a quick reappearance under a 6lb mandatory penalty and she can follow up here. The blinkers seems to have transformed her. Evergreen And Red is another smooth recent winner facing the starter and rates a big danger, as does She's Good Company.
Seamus Howard
