Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings

Selections for Brighton, Doncaster, Leopardstown, Sandown and elsewhere

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Brighton

3.00: Thomas Lanfiere

Preference is for David Simcock's progressive gelding Thomas Lanfiere (nap), who forged clear from off the pace over C&D last time and is a major player again in his bid to make it four wins from his last five starts. The main danger is Platinum Prince, who has finished runner-up with cheekpieces added in his last two runs and remains feasibly treated on his best form.
David Moon

Doncaster

5.42: Ballintoy Harbour

Having returned to his last winning mark Saaheq has to be respected while Autumn Flight could make them all go if able to get to the front early, but there are a couple of unexposed three-year-old fillies in here. Tenaya Canyon has done well since returned to this trip and she should run a big race again, but preference is for Ballintoy Harbour (nap), who is 3-6 and the form of her latest Newmarket success is working out extremely well.
David Bellingham

Leopardstown

4.15: Cracking Name

This could set up nicely for Cracking Name (nap), if she's operating at her very best, returning to a course she's run well at before. Silverkode is tempting and should be in the mix, while the likes of Majeski Man, Sentiment and Tullypole Annie have live chances. Any market support for Talking Tough on his return from a break would be interesting.
Mark Boylan

Redcar

4.53: De Mazzaro

C&D scorer Nataleena was set too much to do when fifth at Nottingham last time and is high on the shortlist, while sole three-year-old Rainbow's Gift is another with good claims now he tackles this trip for the first time on the back of two good placed handicap runs. However, De Mazzaro (nap), has thrived for Tristan Davidson and remains with potential at this trip so he is taken to complete a quick hat-trick after his plucky Nottingham win.
Peter Entwistle

Sandown

8.07: Harrison Point

A lengthy break suggests something may have come to light after Biggles disappointed at Salisbury and his previous Newmarket effort puts him right in the mix. However, Harrison Point (nap), is a danger to anyone over this trip on softish ground and he's favourably handicapped despite his big weight. Eminent Hipster should run better than last time.
Alistair Jones

Sligo

4.30: Donthavetime

On the back of a close second in a similar contest at Navan last time, Donthavetime (nap), could prove the one to beat now. Hophornbeam and Game And Glory hold solid place claims, although the biggest danger could come from hurdling debutante Faith Du Val, who showed plenty of promise in a bumper last month.
Alan Hewison

Yarmouth

4.40: Castana Dia

Giogiobbo was rated in the low 100s little more than two years ago and is respected after another solid effort off his revised mark at York, but the C&D handicap won by Castana Dia (nap), two weeks ago may well hold the key. She had a bit in hand at a very short price that day and is 2lb better off with runner-up Spirited Guest (upped 5lb for winning at Ascot the following day) and open to more improvement than the consistent third Invincible Larne.
Graham Wheldon
