Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday fancies from Beverley, Lingfield, Listowel, Newcastle and Warwick

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Beverley

5.15: Buford

The lightly raced Buford (nap) looked a three-year-old to follow when making a winning handicap and seasonal debut at Doncaster last month, and he failed to settle off a slow pace when beaten at Carlisle just three days later. He can get back on track with a win today. Karen Tutty has done extremely well this year with stable-switcher Strawman, and Her Way is an interesting contender on her first run since being bought out of Roger Charlton's yard. Highlight Reel was second over C&D last time and could be best of the older horses.
Ben Hutton

Lingfield

1.00: Discomatic

It wouldn't be a total surprise to see a better effort from Starry Eyes or Delicate Kiss but there are more solid options, headed by last week's Brighton winner Discomatic (nap). Miquelon is next best, ahead of Mumtaaz.

Listowel

3.27: Mutasarref

Beaten narrowly at Leopardstown on his second start, Mutasarref (nap) looks capable of going one better for Dermot Weld and Colin Keane. Cheekpieces may help, and he is more likely to improve than Mickey The Steel, an 80-rated rival whose best form was as a juvenile last season. Indulging shaped quite well in an early-season appearance. Equus Deus showed ability on his belated start to the campaign.
Alan Sweetman

Newcastle

8.20: Brazen Bolt

Several have possibilities but the one that appeals most is the progressive Brazen Bolt (nap), who has won twice over C&D recently and went close off today's mark in his hat-trick bid at Thirsk last Monday. Tamaska kicked on again with his success at Doncaster last time and he's feared most, though Nat Love was a close third behind the selection here 18 days ago and is a big player if he can back that up. Others to consider are Distinction and Tinochio.
David Moon

Warwick

3.55: Vivas

Haul Away scored off a 9lb higher hurdle mark at Worcester at the start of this month, while Quartz Du Rheu won a chase on that same card and now bids to complete a hat-trick. However, the one to be on is Vivas (nap), who won over 2m4f here on his seasonal debut in 2019 and was second off a 3lb higher mark in this race on last year's reappearance.
