Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Tuesday selections from Beverley, Goodwood, Galway, Perth and more

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Beverley

2.40: Ava Go Joe

A 7lb rise will test Show Yourself as she bids to make it 3-3 over course and distance, most likely from the front again, especially as it means she's 4lb worse off with Ava Go Joe (nap) on recent running here, and the latter is taken to turn things round after an unlucky defeat last time. Saras Hope, who made a pleasing comeback early in the month, will appreciate any showers.
Graham Wheldon

Goodwood

3.35: Trueshan

Stradivarius commands obvious respect in his bid for a remarkable fifth success in this contest but younger rival Trueshan (nap) looks a highly credible challenger. The selection was very impressive in his sole attempt over 2m on turf and remains one to follow in Cup races. Spanish Mission is another major player on recent form, while Sir Ron Priestley should be thereabouts if he stays the trip.
Steve Boow

Galway

8.15: Maze Runner

Cases can be made for plenty but Maze Runner (nap) is difficult to get away from, with the only concern being his lack of a recent run and the need for luck in running from stall 15. Walking On Glass and Crowns Major have obvious claims, while Act Of God and Decimal Day could have more to offer from their current marks. From an each-way perspective, it would be interesting if the first or third reserves, Anyonecanhaveitall and Nathaniel's Dream, managed to get in.
Mark Boylan

Perth

7.55: Story Rory

Pammi and Putting Green fought out a tight finish over course and distance 16 days ago and remain on manageable marks but one with a bit more potential is Story Rory (nap), who shaped with significant promise over 2m6f at Navan on last month's handicap debut.
Chris Wilson

Worcester

6.05: Elios D'Or

Robert Walford's Elios D'Or (nap) has been turned inside out by blinkers and he is taken to complete a course hat-trick, perhaps at the expense of a consistent Atlantic Storm. Storm Rising should also be very competitive.
Alistair Jones

Yarmouth

4.00: Shyjack

Not many of these are solid. Habanero Star and Blue Whisper were returning from absences when second and third respectively over course and distance earlier in the month and both are entitled to figure with those runs under their belt, while Harlequin Rose is also a contender on recent form despite this being her first start here. However, Shyjack (nap) ran really well when just beaten in a 0-65 event over 7f here last time and will be suited by the return to this trip/grade.
