Doncaster Placepot picks: Paul Kealy provides his perm for a competitive card
The Racing League may not be everyone's cup of tea, but with three places available for every race and no maiden or novice races, Doncaster clearly provides the most appealing card for a Placepot.
In the next (6.13) Ivatheengine ran really well on his first outing since a wind op last week and will surely go close if in the same form, while Tanfantic ran a big race despite not quite getting home over 7f last month, and is starting to look well treated.
In the next (6.48) Strongbowe's fourth when favourite last month at Haydock looks miles better now than it did then, while Blackheath didn't run badly when last seen and is well treated if the first-time cheekpieces do the trick.
In leg four (7.20) main selection Adelisa is joined by Dalanijujo, who is consistent and improving when getting the right conditions, while in the next (7.53) the two three-year-olds getting the big weight-for-age allowance – Corbulo and Sheer Chance – are the picks.
In the closing leg I'd take a chance and bank on favourite Currency Exchange.
His closing fourth to Wink Of An Eye at Sandown on Eclipse day has received many boosts and he shaped then as though worth another chance at 1m4f.
Doncaster Placepot perm
10 Sheer Chance
8 Currency Exchange
