Ayr Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with a small perm for the sole jumps fixture

The rain has arrived at Ayr and, as if by magic, so have the runners. There are plenty of them.

The 2m novice hurdle (12.30) should go to Lebowski and he rates banker material to start.

The consistent Ardera Cross makes plenty of appeal from a place perspective in the 2m4½f handicap chase (1.05). Maybe Eagle De Guye will prove the best alternative after a break.

Corrigeen Rock won well at Kelso and is a banker in the 2m3½f novice hurdle (1.40).

The 2m4½f handicap hurdle (2.10) is wide open. Time Leader might have more to offer after his victory at Carlisle and Honda Fifty makes some appeal at a likely bigger price.

Only two places will be on offer in the 3m handicap chase (2.45) and Le Cheval Noir looks the solid option. It might also be worth including the long-absent Cadeyrn after a wind op.

Golden De Coeur is an interesting Irish contender who rates a banker in the bumper (3.20).
