Racing Post Ratings: Simon Turner

Tommy Taylor (3.50 Ayr)

Ran a great trial for this race at Ascot last time. Weighted to go close on last year's Listed win at York for a trainer with a fine record in the race.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Lord Riddiford(3.25 Chelmsford)

Below par at York last month but had earlier boasted a progressive profile and John Quinn's course-and-distance winner can get back in the winning groove.

Longshot: Dave Revers

Shared Equity (2.40 Ayr)

Jedd O'Keeffe's seven-year-old wasn't beaten that far in a decent contest at the Galway festival when last seen and will relish the soft conditions. He has won from a 1lb higher mark and could go well at an each-way price.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Bright Eyed (5.25 Gowran Park)

The Dermot Weld-trained filly stepped up on her two previous efforts when staying on well to be beaten a neck over a mile on heavy ground at the recent Listowel festival. With the extra distance and similar conditions, the daughter of Galileo can score.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

The last ten runnings of the 5.00 at Newmarket have gone to three-year-olds, and five of the last six to a filly who won when last seen. The only one to fit the bill this year is John Gosden’s Hameem.
