North: Colin Russell
Sammy B (4.35 Carlisle, nap)
Lightly raced nine-year-old who has a good strike-rate. The better of his two runs after a break was a third at Ayr last time and as he's feasibly treated on his best form is fancied to get back on the winning trail.
Others to follow
Carlisle: 2.25 Captain Zebo, 2.55 Charmant, 3.30 Glenlora, 4.00 Sophie Olivia, 5.10 Onderun.
Lambourn: James Burn
Piton Pete (2.55 Carlisle, nap)
Eight-year-old won twice over hurdles last season, displaying a useful level of form. Did not click on first two chase starts, but ran well last time and should be involved.
Others to follow
Carlisle: 4.00 Rayvin Black.
Exeter: 2.40 Misty Bloom.
West Country: Andrew King
Pileon (5.25 Exeter, nap)
Placed in Irish point-to-points before being transferred to the Philip Hobbs team and can make a winning British debut.
Others to follow
Exeter: 2.10 Malangen, 2.40 Ballybough Nora, 3.15 Vards, 3.45 Diable De Sivola, 4.20 Dusky Lark, 4.55 Ericas Lad.
Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason
Apple Mack (2.40 Exeter, nap)
Posted his best RPR to date on recent Hereford handicap debut and is open to further improvement over this longer trip.
Topspeed: Dave Edwards
Crownthorpe (4.10 Naas)
Finished third over seven furlongs here twelve months ago and this longer trip is in his favour. Only won once last season but ran well in some decent handicaps and would not be winning out of turn.
Longshot: Adam Maidment
Calvados Spirit (4.10 Naas)
Shaped well in three starts for Richard Fahey last season. Looks fairly handicapped on the basis of those efforts and has a history of going well fresh.
Ireland: Tony O'Hehir
Amaulino (3.50 Downpatrick)
Following an improved performance at Leopardstown earlier this month when he won by eight and a half lengths, the six-year-old has the potential to cope with a 9lb hike in the ratings and although the extended 3m4f trip will be unknown territory, he can prove the pick in the Ulster National.
