The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

(3.30 Yarmouth)

I was convinced this daughter of Dubawi was going to win on stable debut and seasonal reappearance just under three weeks ago, but she disappointed in finishing fourth and it may be that she just needed that run. She remains on the same mark of 65 and I'm convinced she is an 80-plus filly so although she will be rather short in the market, it would be folly not to stick with her. She hasn't got the best run through on her last couple of starts – she should have won her final start at two, while James Doyle had to wait on the rail last time and lost around two lengths and momentum having to switch wide. This looks a very winnable affair and soft ground shouldn't be a problem on pedigree.

DARK HORSE

Daawy (3.20 Haydock)

Heavy ground at Haydock doesn't suit many runners but one that will relish the conditions is Roger Fell's Daawy, who recorded a quickfire hat-trick in the autumn with give in the ground, including once here, and should be ready to continue his improvement after a quiet comeback effort. Daawy's record on soft ground reads 2913, while his other two scores since his maiden success have come on good to soft. He faced a tough task on his reappearance when 12th in Class 2 company on the all-weather at Newcastle (sent off at 66-1), but this drop in trip and return to the turf should see him go very close off a mark of 88, 2lb lower than when third of 17 at York at the backend of last season.
