The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

EYECATCHER

Rampant Lion (6.25 Kempton)

Bacacarat and Nahham, who represent powerful connections, are sure to be fancied for this London Mile Series qualifier but I think they will have their work cut out to deny William Jarvis's topweight Rampant Lion. The four-year-old gelding is clearly a better horse on the all-weather (2-6, compared to 1-11 on turf) and has won two of his last three outings on synthetic surfaces, both coming over this course and distance. He has run reasonably well without pulling up trees on turf recently but the return here off a workable mark can be the catalyst to an improved performance.

GOOD THING

(5.15 Yarmouth)

With a fantastic course record (form figures of 321) and clearly in fine condition since returning this season, Oud Metha Bridge should take a lot of beating in the closing 0-70 mile handicap on Yarmouth's card. Julia Feilden, who does well at the track, sent out this five-year-old to win over course and distance just over three weeks ago, where he drew clear with two others before prevailing under a strong drive. He has been raised just 3lb for that win and with 7lb claimer Sean Kirrane retaining the ride, he should be well enough treated to follow up.
