The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

GOOD THING

Affluence (5.15 Kempton)

We are back and racing in Britain! What better way to get back into the swing of things than with a winner and hopefully this 19-race maiden can make it 20th time lucky at Kempton for trainer Martin Smith. Clearly he is an exposed sort, but he has been threatening to win since being upped in trip to 1m2f four starts ago and rated an unlucky loser last time out. He reopposes the winner that day, Chakrii, off better terms and a clear run should see him reverse the form. He should also be able to race slightly closer to the pace with early interference costing him a prominent position last time out.

EYECATCHER

Ding Ding(3.10 Plumpton)

This 0-120 handicap doesn't have much depth and although both Ballyheigue Bay (back hurdling and dropped in trip) and Et Moi Alors (unexposed for last year's winning trainer) are interesting runners, they will have to go some to beat Sheena West's course specialist Ding Ding. Winner of this race in 2017 and runner-up last year, Ding Ding absolutely loves it around here and I expect her to swoop round the outside on the final bend before clearing away. Her mark of 107 is certainly workable.
