Four-year-old who showed absolutely nothing on his first ten starts, which included four for current trainer Gavin Cromwell, but it was clearly a plot to send him to Southwell last time off a nice mark and he just managed to bring home the bacon. Having basically made all, he fended off the well-treated Shearian (won since) close home and they pulled a whopping 16 lengths clear of their rivals. He was running from 4lb out of the handicap that day, so is technically just 2lb higher here, and looks a certainty if resuming in the same form.

Magic Mirror(4.10 Kempton)

I'm taking on trust that he's going to stay the 1m2f trip, but Mark Rimell's Magic Mirror looks the best horse in what is a pretty poor-looking handicap that opens the Kempton card. A five-time winner from 28 starts, Magic Mirror loves it here and looked handicapped to strike when third on his reappearance in first-time blinkers two weeks ago. He has a nice draw in stall five and will travel powerfully, before hopefully staying on well to the line.
