The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

Don't Do It(5.35 Beverley)

Didn't pull up any trees in eight starts for trainer Robert Tyner in Ireland, where he raced on all types of ground and from trips between 6f and 1m5½f. Moved to Iain Jardine's yard this summer, a trainer who is highly capable with this type of horse, and ran an extremely encouraging race when second on debut for the yard at Musselburgh 12 days ago. He lost that race by pulling far too hard for the majority of the journey, but still only went down by a neck and was well clear of the remainder of the field. He's gone up in the weights for that and now drops down four furlongs in trip, but I'd be extremely disappointed if he wasn't at least 10lb well-in off this mark of 51.

GOOD THING

Lush Life(3.50 Sandown)

This is quite a competitive handicap for the 0-85 grade, but Jamie Osborne's Lush Life stands out like a sore thumb and can maintain her unbeaten record under 3lb claimer Rossa Ryan. Having won on debut when making up lots of ground from the rear of the field at Kempton in November (subsequent winners in behind), she was given plenty of time off the track but impressed as much on her reappearance run at Chelmsford in August when flying home late to deny a 77-rated rival. She was given an almost impossible task that day and the way she finished marked her as a well above-average type. Given a rating of 85, she looks leniently treated and rates a confident selection.
