The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Tuesday

BANKER

Trevithick(4.45 Newcastle)

The majority of runners in this handicap like to be held up and come with a strong run late in the piece, which means this race won't suit as there's very little pace on. That might mean that Bryan Smart's Trevithick gets an easy time of things on the front end. Still unexposed with just ten runs to his name, Trevithick was well punted when last seen at this course and duly landed the gamble with a strong-staying performance. He's able to race off just 2lb higher today and Graham Lee gets on well with him.

EYECATCHER

(6.15 Newcastle)

This is a pretty good race for a 0-85 handicap but Royal Prospect rates a well-treated, improving horse who should relish the drop down to the minimum trip. Keen early in his last two races, Royal Prospect ran out an impressive winner on his seasonal reappearance in November before paying for his early exertions last time out. He wasn't beaten far at all, though, and is able to race off the same mark of 82. A stronger pace will suit and he can fire between runners at the end to take the prize.
