The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Saturday

EACH-WAY PLAY

Captain Colby(3.00 Musselburgh)

The Scottish Sprint Cup is such a tricky contest but there is plenty of value about and with bookies generally paying first five places, it is certainly worth having a bet on Paul Midgley's Captain Colby. The consistent seven-year-old should profit from a perfect run through the race as he looks likely to track trailblazer A Momentofmadness (drawn next to each other) and he proved he has an electric turn of foot when beating the smart Tarboosh over this course and distance last season. He disappointed on his pipe-opener this season but will have come on a lot for the run and I can't see him finish out the frame.

EYECATCHER

Rux Power (2.35 Kempton)

There are a few smart fillies in here and I doubt Rux Power is the best horse in the line-up, but race fitness can prove an edge and I hope she can make all. The owner/jockey/trainer combination are firing on all cylinders of late and she looked to have improved over the winter when scoring well on her seasonal reappearance at Chelmsford. The step up in trip is ideal for this daughter of Kingman and although Nausha and Rainbow Heart hold big entries, Rux Power gets the verdict.
