The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday

BANKER

Alabaster(6.15 Wolverhampton)

Sir Mark Prescott has his team in fine form early in the year (38 per cent strike-rate over the last fortnight) and this son of Archipenko, who hasn't been seen on the track for 568 days, could be the next winner to add his name to the list. Improving at a rate of knots when last seen, winning three of his last four starts, Alabaster returns off a mark of 87 and should win this if anywhere near fit for his first run back. The form of his last few efforts have worked out really well on the whole and if he hadn't got injured, I'd imagine he would've run up quite a streak as a three-year-old. He looks to be a 100-plus horse if retaining his ability.

IRISH ANGLE

Mulzamm (7.30 Dundalk)

I tipped this Damian English-trained seven-year-old a week ago and he ran a really nice race to finish third, just getting mugged near the line having raced keenly out in front. Now dropped back to 7f, I'm more than hopeful that he can regain the winning thread such is the leniency of his current handicap mark of 49 (rated 98 two years ago). Combine that with Stephen Mooney taking off a further 4lb and the likelihood of a nice run round on the front end and he looks a cracking bet.
