The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday
EYECATCHER
Sufficient(2.50 Newbury)
This is a pretty good nursery but I was taken by the way Rod Millman's Showcasing filly won at Salisbury last time out and I'm happy to stick with her at a price. She took six starts to get off the mark, but showed plenty on more than one occasion (including when fifth here) and the step up to 7f last time was the catalyst to her improved performance. She really did change gear in that final furlong and she could go in again off a 6lb higher mark.
EACH-WAY PLAY
Kenny The Captain(4.10 Ayr)
He often finds one or two to good, which is why I have him down as an each-way selection, but Kenny The Captain is in the form of his life at the minute and it won't be long before he gets his due rewards. Tim Easterby's seven-year-old performed well when finishing third to the reopposing Yes You in his penultimate start, and was only narrowly outfoxed by the class-dropping Big Lachie last time out. He has run well at Ayr more than once in the past (form figures: 418323), has a good partner on board in Rachael Richardson and is very importantly drawn high.
