The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow at Royal Ascot

EYECATCHER

Khaadem(3.40 Royal Ascot)

Ten Sovereigns and Jash's form mean they deserve to head the market for the Commonwealth Cup, which looks to be one of the races of the week. However, I have doubts about both and I'd rather back Khaadem, a horse with unlimited potential when he puts it all together. Charlie Hills's three-year-old hasn't quite learned the game yet as he tends to pull a bit too hard early, but he has exhibited a fantastic cruising speed and electric turn of foot on his last few outings and I'm hoping he can extend his winning streak to four. The ground won't be a problem and Hills is really excited by him. He needs to step up on his form to date but I'd be confident he has enough improvement in him to go close.

AMERICAN ANGLE

Nayibeth (2.30 Royal Ascot)

I'm going to take a flyer on the fact the ground is going to quicken up enough for Nayibeth, who runs in the opening Albany Stakes. Trainer Wes Ward has had this race in mind for his daughter of Carpe Diem for some time and although his runners are often considered non-stayers over this six-furlong trip, everything about her pedigree suggests she will handle the extra distance despite showing plenty of speed on debut. She really caught my eye when hacking up at Keeneland in April, posting a good time, and can make all from stall one in what looks a winnable renewal.
