Lawrence Mullaney wins his fair share of races at Hamilton and this four-year-old filly looks set to enhance his record. Duck Egg Blue has won one race from six starts for connections since moving from Patrick Holmes, but she is yet to encounter soft ground this season, which could spark a fair bit of improvement. She scored on soft and heavy ground as a two-year-old for Kevin Prendergast and ran really well in wet conditions several times last year. You can discard her last effort when missing the break badly in much better company, and this is a much easier assignment.
