Newmarket: David Milnes

Debbonair (1.20 Lingfield, nap)

Hugo Palmer's improver took a while to get going when getting up defeat subsequent winner Hermocrates over a mile at Kempton last time. The three-year-old should be suited by this longer trip and has the assistance of Ryan Moore.

Others to follow
Lingfield 2.25 Robero, 3.00 James Street, 4.00 Plucky Dip.
Kempton 4.30 Gas Monkey, 5.00 Woods, 5.30 Holy Heart, 6.00 Global Melody, 6.30 Bernie's Boy, 7.00 Gentlemen, 7.30 Natalie Express.

North: Colin Russell

Exchequer (7.00 Kempton, nap)

Won over the course and distance three times and had no problems with drop back to 6f last time when readily accounting for a subsequent winner. He could easily get his own way in front and is fancied to go in again.

Others to follow
Lingfield 2.25 Highland Acclaim, 3.00 Deep Intrigue, 3.30 Galitello.

Lambourn: James Burn

Alph (3.50 Newbury, nap)

Nicky Henderson won this bumper last year and has always thought plenty of this Gold Well gelding, who went close on his debut at Ludlow in May. He has summered well and can go one better on his first start since a breathing operation.

Others to follow
Kempton 4.30 Cape Greco, 6.00 Little Palaver, 6.30 Peggy's Angel, 7.30 Caledonia Duchess, 8.00 Millie May.
Lingfield 1.50 Ydra, 2.25 Florencio, 3.00 Isaan Queen, 3.30 Rare, 4.40 Black Truffle.
Newbury 1.10 Mr Dorrell Sage, 1.40 Harambe, 2.15 Knockmaole Boy, 3.20 Sunrise Ruby, 3.50 Alph.
Plumpton 3.40 Manning Estate.

West Country: Tim Mitchell

Three Star General (2.35 Plumpton, nap)

Fair effort last time and has dropped to a dangerous mark but comes with risks attached. However, connections are hopeful of a bold showing now back up in distance with refitted blinkers.

Others to follow
Newbury 1.10 Percy Street, 2.15 The Russian Doyen, 2.50 Mister Malarky, 3.20 Our Dot’s Baby, 3.50 Prudhomme.
Plumpton 1.30 Fly To Mars, 2.00 The Boola Bee, 3.10 Millanisi Boy, 3.40 Coastal Drift.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Ar Mest (1.10 Newbury, nap)

Showed he could handle good ground when returning to winning ways at Leicester last month and the 10lb claim of the yard's conditional negates a 6lb rise in the handicap.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Sun Hat (5.30 Kempton)

Not much went right when a well-beaten favourite here last time, but had earlier completed a hat-trick and can get back in the winning groove.

Longshot: Olly Eden

Percy Street (1.10 Newbury)

Consistent sort for David Pipe who ran well on first two starts after returning from a break but was a below-par fourth last time. That effort can be forgiven as the run came too soon, and it's worth noting he attracted strong market support. Could be competitive with blinkers re-applied on ground to suit.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

Tom Gretton has had three winners and a second from just seven runners at Plumpton since the start of 2015 (+£22 to £1 level stakes). One of those winners was Yourholidayisover, who is bidding to win the 2m1f handicap chase (2.00) for the second year in a row.
